I had to go to Atlanta for a week while working on a personal project so I took the red eye flight out of LAX. Looking down at the city of lights was just beautiful. I wonder if pilots ever get tired of seeing this. I did my best to sleep on the plane despite waking up every so often and around 6 in the morning, I awoke to a beautiful sight.
Alas, it did not last, the plane descended into overcast cloudy stormy weather. I happen to touch down in one of the worst flooding in Georgia in 4 years. The county I was staying at Cobb County was one of the 17 counties that the governor of Georgia had announced state of emergency at.
After 5 days of rain, I got back to Los Angeles to find, hear, dryness and apparently two new fires broke out since Station Fire !
