Tell me about the outfit you are wearing – who are you cosplaying and how did you decide to pick this particular character ?
I’m wearing Alucard from the manga Hellsing. He is my absolute favorite character next to Alexander Anderson!
Tell me about the process of making your outfit – was it easier or tougher than you imagine it to be ?
The costume itself was actually tailor-made by the good people at Fan+Friend! They’re superb and I highly recommend them!
Any interesting stories from people’s reaction to your outfit at the con ? ^^
I’m asked quite often to bite peoples’ necks and/or drink their blood. Or shoot them. It’s interesting!
How did you get started cosplaying and what got you interested ?
I started when I met a group of friends wanting to cosplay at Disneyland. It was Kingdom Hearts and I had no idea what I was doing. I designed a wig and improvised a ‘formal’ outfit for my character to wear and it was downhill from there.
What are the con did you first attended and what’s your favorite con that you’ve attended so far and why ?
AX 07 was my first con, but I’d have to say Fanime is my favorite because it focuses so much on the fans and they seem to really care about cosplayers
What does cosplay mean to you ?
It means a moment to have fun in costume as your favorite characters of course! Sometimes I just go to people-watch, it really doesn’t matter, I just love the energetic atmosphere cosplay brings.
If you had unlimited funds/technology/time, what is your dream cosplay ?
Vlad Dracula III, in all his armor, riding upon a black armored horse. It’s a dream I hope doesn’t die with me!
