How To Pose Like A Pro and Other Videos

This panel approaches good posing from a fine art and filmmaking perspective, which means we'll be teaching you real concepts and techniques that you can apply to all of your poses! We'll go over the how-to of good cosplay posing, then we'll discuss and critique specific examples, and we'll wrap up with Q&A and a workshop to help you improve your poses. It'll be an hour of informative, high-energy fun for everybody who attends !

Recently, the cosplay group LimitlessEdge hosted a panel on posing for cosplay photographs at Fanime a few weeks back. This was a retweaking of a similar panel they ran back at ALA earlier this year. This is a definite must-see video - they cover a lot of terrain in just a hour. BTW : this video was posted by jim3535yt who also posted other helpful cosplay-related video which I've posted after the jump for your convenience.

This one I had the pleasure of attending at Anime Los Angeles earlier this year. Hosted by Cosplay Photographers, Richard Bui, Tim Vo, and Chloe Doan , the panel was called "Cosplay Photography at Hotels and Convention Centers".

Later in the year, Cosplay Photographers hosted yet another panel, this time at Fanime. Richard Bui, Tim Vo, and Rachael Masako Ing about "Ambient Light Cosplay Photography". Oh, Darkain Media is the demo man, lol ! Looking good Vince !

At this same con, there was another panel called "Cosplayers & Photographers Working Together" with Bekalou, Foxberry , OscarC and Yukari Kaiba.

The panel description reads as :
The panelists will discuss cosplay photography and photo shoots from both the cosplayer and photographer points of view, with an emphasis on areas where there's confusion, or where cosplayer/photographer issues often occur. We will discuss the end-to-end process of a photoshoot, from finding a photographer or cosplayer, to tips during shooting, and dealing with post-shoot issues like copyright. The panel will consist of well-known and experienced photographers and cosplayers who will be able use their first-hand experiences to discuss the various issues that come up."

In the future I'll post more videos I find. By the way, go and subscribe to Jim3535yt's YouTube channel. I'm sure he'll be posting more cosplay panel videos soon !
