Tell me about the outfit you are wearing – who are you cosplaying and how did you decide to pick this particular character ?
I cosplayed Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII, I picked this character because, I wanted to be a strong female character, that I knew not many other people would be cosplaying, and the pink hair was an added bonus!
Tell me about the process of making your outfit – was it easier or tougher than you imagine it to be ?
The sword was by far the hardest part. I had to seek help from a friend of mine to create it and it almost didn’t get done on time.
Any interesting stories from people’s reaction to your outfit at the con ?
I was shocked to see how many people actually knew who I was. everywhere I turned, I heard someone say, “Lightning!” It made me smile.
How did you get started cosplaying and what got you interested ?
I think it was my first Con experience. I saw so many people in really cool costumes, I knew I had to join in next year.
What are the con did you first attended and what’s your favorite con that you’ve attended so far and why ?
My first con was A-kon 17 and it’s also my favorite because nothing beats your first con experience.
What does cosplay mean to you ?
Cosplay is art and fandom mixed together. It’s a way of showing others your devotion to a particular comic, game, anime, etc.
If you had unlimited funds/technology/time, what is your dream cosplay ?
My dream cosplay would defenitley have to be Leia from Angel/Dust Neo
