How did you decided to chose that character and what did you have to do to make that outfit ?
I picked up Kuroshitsuji and soon found my self got sucked in by the art immediately! Especially by all the outfits Ciel wears. They are all so elegant and beautiful! Which is good enough motivation for me to cosplay the young earl and making his many outfits. Eventually I came across a certain official artwork by the creator and fell in love with this particular Ciel’s outfit design at the first sight.
This was my first Ciel cosplay and little did I know it was more complicated than anything I made so far. I drafted and altered my own pattern, which was a pain. And then I had to tailor the jacket a bunch times to fit me just right. The jacket is also lined so which means I had to do everything twice, whether it be cutting out the pieces or seam ripping it apart whenever I made a mistake. The silver rope was a pain to attach to the jacket as well. But the end result was totally worth it! I love wearing Ciel to con because I just love this outfit to bits!
So how were the reaction from folks at the cons ?
I get different reactions from people depending on what I was wearing at the time. Some people simply just want a hug from their favorite character from certain series/games while some other will chat with you about the character. Also I do have to make a note here though. Never, EVER get too excited by jumping on (I mean literally) cosplayers. It could damage the outfits we work so hard on. I heard too many horrible stories like this happening to my friends.
I can tell ! So when did you start cosplaying ?
I officially started cosplaying at AX04. I had attended AX from the year before and was fascinated by all the ppl running around in costumes. So I thought to myself ‘I could do that too!’. Cosplaying as the character and making them into life, how awesome is that ?

I tend to pick a character I like to cosplay. Either that or I look at their character designs in general.

Seth Nightlord from Trinity Blood! That is my dream cosplay and one day I will make it come true! I love her character design and her crazy dress!!
